January 22, 1941 — February 26, 2014
Virginia Ann "Jennie" Hughes Minton, age 73 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014. She was a bookkeeper for Lemon and Son Jewelers and retired from the Jefferson County Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Earline Hughes; three brothers, Thomas, John "Bud" and Robert Hughes; and great-grandchild Mason Bramblett.
Jennie is survived by her loving husband of 48 and 1/2 years, Jerry Lee Minton; daughter, Gina Lynn Bramblett (Tom); grandchildren, Jennifer, Timothy and Jessica Bramblett and Tyler Broaddus; great-grandchildren, Kaydence Bramblett and Madelynn Grundy. She was also known as Grandma Jennie to numerous others. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery at 3pm EST.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Friday and after 9:30am Saturday at the funeral home.
