Violet Pearl Engle

Violet Pearl Engle, 80, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was very loved and nurtured those around her, including family, friends, and her dogs she cherished over the years.

She was born on July 17, 1942, in Parksville, Kentucky, to George and Flora (Pike) King. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joe King; and her sister, Bonnie Graver.

Violet was employed at Brockway Plastics in Jeffersonville, Indiana. After retirement, she spent many of her years vacationing in Florida or Hawaii with her beloved children and grandchildren. She would be seen peacefully walking along the beach, searching for seashells, or laying under the sun's warm rays. She was a faithful member of Evangel North Church in Clarksville, Indiana. There she devoted herself to God and dedicated her time to groups and giving back to the community.

Violet is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Eugene Engle; daughter, Angela Scott; son, Brian Engle; grandchildren, Gregory Scott, Khayman Engle, Khalayla Engle, and Kyla Scott; great-grandchildren, Ethan Scott, Liam Scott, Elaina Scott, and Addie Hilton; sisters, Viola Baugh and Hilda Elmore; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Evangel North Church (1732 Thames Drive, Clarksville). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
