October 3, 1941 — January 7, 2024

Vincent V. Butler, age 82 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024. He enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He was very proud of his successful career at Eastman Kodak where he made lifelong friends. He later went on to work for Gatchels and Jefferson County School District. To truly know Vince was to love him and his passion for all things western, John Wayne, and Elvis.

Vince was born on October 3, 1941, in Avon, IL to Howard and Dolores (Conkey) Butler where he was one of nine children. Along with his parents, Vince was preceded in death by his siblings, Diane Butler, Patty Rathke and Sarah Goering.

Vince is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anita; children, Patrick (Jessica) Butler, Julie (Dean) Sevy and Michael (Corey) Butler; brothers, John (Sharon) Butler and Lawrence (Elvira) Butler; sisters, Clara (Mac) McKeehan, Linda (Zoli) Verebelyi and Marie Schuster; grandchildren, Jackson Sevy, Ryan Sevy, Mitchell Sevy, Sadey Butler and Greta Butler; and a host of family and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Vince's life will be from 5 to 8pm on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Ky. 40243.

Memorials may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
