Victor Martine Anderson, Sr

Victor Martine Anderson Sr. was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 8, 1964 to Lola Mae Lockett Reynolds and John Emory Anderson. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many. Victor passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 59.

"Big Vic" or "Vic Damone" as some called him, enjoyed being around his family and friends and was a dedicated fan of the Louisville Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. In his moments of relaxation his favorites were listening to Tupac Shakur, old school music, "Black and Mild" cigars and being in love with "Mary Jane."

He never met a stranger and always loved having great conversations. Victor is remembered for his sense of humor, a love for throwing jokes and making people laugh. Most importantly, he made those he interacted with feel like they were part of the family.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children, Constance Russell, Victor Anderson, Jr. (Shelby), Shelbe Gilder and Natalie Anderson; four grandchildren, Ta'Maz Butler, Zuri Anderson, Eila Anderson and Michael Carter; his sisters, Joann Francis (William), Gwen Johnson (TJ), Sharon Anderson, Tyisha Boyd-Hollins (Tavoris), Linda Jones; brothers, John (Ethelina) Anderson, James DeWayne Anderson, Lamont (Nichelle)Anderson, Jose Anderson, and Andre Anderson; godparents, Toni Grace (Phil) and Rickie Wright, Sr.; Rickie Wright, Jr. and Adrianne Wright who were cousins, but were like his siblings. Victor also had a host of nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Victor's life beginning at 1pm.

Victor will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205.
