Vickie Leigh (Hazen) Fisher

Vickie Leigh (Hazen) Fisher, 56, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Born on December 24, 1968, in New Albany, Vickie was the beloved daughter of Paul and the late Rosie (Brown) Hazen.

Vickie enjoyed doing arts and crafts, often expressing her creativity through her projects. She also held a fondness for shopping, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Above all, Vickie cherished her family deeply and found great joy in spending quality time with her grandson, August.

Her life, while filled with love and creativity, was marked by significant loss. In addition to her mother, Rosie, Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, William Fisher; daughter, Brittany Hazen; granddaughter, Emily Hazen; as well as her nephew, Stephen Barrett, Jr.; and niece, Kelsi Davis.

She is survived by her father, Paul Hazen; great-grandson, August Hazen; brother, Stephen Barrett, Sr. (Kimberly); nieces, Triston and Shyanna Barrett; and nephew, Bradley Barrett.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. in honor of Vickie's memory, with cremation to occur afterwards in accordance with her wishes.
