Vernon L. Dunn

Vernon Dunn, 87, of Otisco, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. Vernon enjoyed fishing, hunting, building, gardening, and most importantly spending time with his family.

He was born on December 13, 1936 in Milton, Indiana to the late Joseph and Elsie (McClellan) Dunn. On June 28, 1980 Vernon married the love of his life Marilyn Trent. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson, James Dunn; granddaughter, April Botts; step-daughter, Robin Franklin; eight brothers, Donald Dunn, Nevile Dean Dunn, Orville Glen Dunn, Arnold Gale Dunn, Raymond Dunn, Ronald Dunn, Paul Dunn, and Larry Dunn.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn Dunn; two daughters, Vickie (Dale) Botts and Wanda Cochran; two sons, Brian (Christine) Dunn and Daniel Dunn; step-son, Danny Franklin; grandchildren, Travis, Timmy, Tonie, Todd, Tristen, Tabatha, Charnae, Jeremiah, Jessica, Michael, Danielle, Erin, and Brandon, 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Ray Dunn and Jerry Dunn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
