Verlin Stephen Gravley

Mr. Verlin Stephen Gravley, age 57 of Louisville passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011. Originally born and raised in Etowah, TN, he was a small business owner, one of the former founders and member of the Knoxville Rotary, former regional director in Atlanta for Morrison Health Care, and a member of Highview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Agnes Simpson Gravley.

Steve is survived by his loving wife the former Kimberly Lucas; children, Adam (Heather), Matthew (Angela), Eric and Halli Gravley; father, Verlin B. Gravley; sisters Teresa Heckert (Clyde) and Katherine Verlene Cox (Harold); brother, Chris Gravley; grandchildren, Lily, Samuel, Augustus, Lucie and Molly. He is also survived by a host nieces and nephews.

Funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Highview Baptist Church, 15201 Shelbyville Road. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, and 11 – 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, 300 N. Tennessee Avenue, Etowah, TN. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah, TN. Memorials may be made to a memorial fund for Halli at any Stock Yards Bank and Trust.
