Venice C.(Sutton) Knear

Venice C. (Sutton) Knear, 82, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday evening, January 15, 2011 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. Venice was a retired beautician and former owner of Venice K Beauty Salon in New Albany. She was a member of Scottsville Christian Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

Venice was born on April 29, 1928 in Cosmosdale, Kentucky to the late Condia and Ida M. (Bishop) Sutton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Knear and sister, Mary Knear.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Sarah Prell of New Albany, Thelma Hedden of Elizabeth, Indiana, Juanita Leffler and her husband, Wayne, of Elizabeth, Imogene Monson and her husband, Bill, of New Albany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, January 20 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) and after 10 AM on Friday. Her Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Friday, January 21 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with private entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
