Vena Lynn Henderson

Vena Lynn Henderson, 72, passed away on September 25, 2023. She was a great woman of faith and a prayer warrior. Vena was a talented seamstress and was a caregiver to many. She was the definition of love; she welcomed everyone with open arms. Vena's family meant the world to her and spending time with them was her greatest enjoyment in life.

She was preceded in death by her lifetime love, Eddie Jenkins; parents, James and Lillian Henderson; sisters, Sharon H. Farber and June G. Clark Garvin and her brothers, Kyle G. Henderson and Darward J. Henderson.

Vena leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Brian (Pam) Henderson, Kristen (Tony) Henderson, Vena N. (Katy) Henderson and Joshua (Diane) Henderson; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin), Courtney, Christopher, Candice, William, Shayne, Alyssa, Makenzie, Chandlor (Olivia), Brindlyn, Shane Michael, Mia, Makayla, Xavier and Mary Helen; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Abigail, Kaylianna, Jayce, Cheyenne, Chevelle and Rose and bonus daughters, Tanya, Danielle, Leslie, Sha.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 1pm-8pm. A celebration of Vena's life will be Friday, October 6, 2023, beginning at 1pm.
