Valarie Gayhart Rider

Valarie Gayhart Rider, 69, of Louisville, passed away on December 16, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville.
She was born on January 22, 1953 in Somerset, KY to the late Carolyn Ruth Gayhart. Valarie was a member of Farmdale Church of the Nazarene and a life time member of the Council of the Blind. She was also a member of the Visual Impaired People of Greater Louisville and sat on the board for TARC 3.
Valarie is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Tommy Rider and her mother, Carolyn Ruth Gayhart.
She is survived by her daughter, Windi Ramsey; granddaughter, Chloey Ramsey; sister, Stacy Gayhart; and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A service to celebrate Valarie's life will follow that evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
