U'Don Dickinson, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2014. He was veteran of The United States Army who served during the Korean War, and later retired from Brown & Williamson after many years of service.
U'Don was born on June 15, 1935 in Spruce Pine, Alabama to the late Orbia & Leatha (Hargett) Dickinson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Hollis & E.E. Dickinson; grandson, John Robert Burkardt, Jr.; granddaughter, Autumn Joy Burkardt.
He is survived by his daughter, Marlyce A. Burkardt-Neal; sister, Fay Laye (Marvin); grandchildren, Rhiannon Michelle Burkardt-Fisher (Jon) & Isaac Neal, Jr;great-granddaughter, Destiny Lynn Fisher; niece, Deborah I. Dickinson.
Cremation was chosen following U'Don's wishes. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home was entrusted with his care.
