Trudie R. Garey

Mrs. Trudie R. Garey, age 65 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord, and one of the founders of the youth program in the Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn, Maine, where she led Vacation Bible School and was a Sunday School teacher, a member of Court Street Baptist and First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio, and was a founding member of Crossway Community Church in Harrison, Ohio. She was also a teacher and coach at Lisbon Falls Christian Academy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wesley.

Trudie is survived by her children, Denise Willey (Donn) and Chris Garey (Tonya); grandchildren, Jordan and Heather Willey and Trevor and Patrick Garey; her sister, Wilma Shook; and her brothers, Robert Waye (Bertha), Michael Waye (Sue), Deland Small.

Memorial service will be at Adventure Christian Church, 3321 Ruckriegel Parkway in Jeffersontown at 5:00 p.m., with visitation there from 3 – 5 p.m.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the family and staff at Meadowview Nursing and Rehab Center for their excellent care of Mom during her time there.
