Trevor Lee Gettys, 36, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Fort Thomas, Ky., passed away unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 9, after a short illness. He was a graduate of Highlands High School and the University of Louisville.
He is survived by his longtime soul mate, Sharon Bindner; their granddaughter, Trinity; his parents, Norb and Marilyn Gettys; his brothers, Travis (Julie) and Rafe (Christin); nephew, Samson; niece, Sasha; grandmothers, Lucille Johnson and Emorillis Gettys. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Cecil Johnson and Paul Gettys, and his dog, Ziggy.
A celebration of Trevor's life will be held Friday, Sept. 13, at the Mellwood Arts Center (Gallery M) beginning with a service at 4 p.m. with visitation continuing until 8 p.m.
Also, a celebration of his life will be held at the Fort Thomas Mess Hall on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Service will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Trevor's last selfless gift was to the Kentucky Organ Donor Association. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Fort Thomas Building Fund, Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
