Tonia W. Price, 63, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
Tonia was born in Louisville, KY on September 1, 1956. She is preceded in by her mother and step father, Mary and Albert White, her father, William Guin Sr. and her grandchild, Tonecia.
Here to carry on her beautiful memory are her husband, Leland Price, children, Shawntane Finn, Natasha Guin, Bryon Guin, Leland Price Jr., Stephanie Price, Lamar Price, Levon Price and Lamont Price, grandchildren, Airial, Jalyn, Chantelle, Kansas, Nakari and Nasir, and her siblings, Mary Agnes Crenshaw (John), Willie Ruth Faulk, Katherine Owens, William Guin Jr. and Sandra Walton.
Tonia graduated from Central High School in 1974. She was a very fashion forward and loved to look good. She enjoyed singing; especially with her church chorus groups. Tonia also had a passion for caring for others; she retired from Lyndon Lane Nursing Facility due to an illness. Tonia was a child of God. She accepted Christ at an early age at Emmanuel Baptist Church and remained a member throughout her life. While at her church, she was a part of Christian leadership Sunday school class, the Emmanuel Baptist church choir and the small ensemble.
Though she had many trials during her lifetime, her faith in God was unwavering. During her lifetime she struggled with substance abuse, but became a member of Narcotics Anonymous which provided the foundation for her to be clean when God called her home.
The visitation will take place from 11-1pm, Saturday, June 20th at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3815 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40211, with a life celebration beginning at 1pm. Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
