Tommy Wayne Hiltzman, age 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2023. Tommy was born in Longview, Texas, to the late Thomas and Grace (Fox) Hiltzman, the youngest of eight children. Tommy was a graduate of Pine Tree High School, an avid outdoorsman, an entrepreneur, a home builder, a private pilot, cooker of fantastic steaks and the founder of Jucy's Barbecue in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. Tommy was preceded in death by his father Thomas and his mother Grace, his brothers Kenneth, Vernon, Bobby, Bill, Ronald and Donald and his sister Elena
Tommy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna (Fenn) Hiltzman; his daughters, Kimberly Flanagan and Kyla (Thomas) Beck; and his six grandchildren, Abigail, Taylor, Lindsey, Samuel, Henry and Thomas; and a host of relatives and friends.
Tommy was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ and was always sharing the Gospel with others. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He fought the good fight, finished the race and now enjoys the promise of the crown of righteousness.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors and the many other health care workers of Hosparus Health and Baptist East Hospital.
Visitation will be 9:45 am to 11 am at New Life Church 3402 Goose Creek Road Louisville, Kentucky 40241. A celebration of Tommy's life will be there at 11 am, followed by burial in Floydsburg Cemetery, Crestwood, Kentucky.
