Tina Jackson Delk, 79, of Louisville passed away on April 25, 2023 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
She was proud to have spent her early years on a dairy farm in Anchorage, Kentucky. Later she attended St. Bartholomew, Assumption High School, and University of Louisville. She worked as a medical assistant for several years before staying home to care for her mother. Tina was always an advocate for the well-being of children. She volunteered at Children's Hospital and was the owner/operator of a nationally-accredited, in-home day care for many years. She provided a great start for countless children in our area. She was a life-long fan of UK basketball. She enjoyed southwestern design, anything related to Native American culture and hiking in Bernheim Forest. She loved Sanibel Island and Gatlinburg, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Delk; parents, James and Gertrude Jackson; and brothers, Donald, Rodney, and Jim Jackson.
Tina is survived by her daughters, Michele Hoskins (Mike) and Amy Delk; grandchildren, Alex Delk, Matthew (Jessy), McLain, and Maci Hoskins; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
