Timothy Lane Vaughan

Timothy L. Vaughan, age 73 of Pendleton, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was born in Tampa, Florida to the late John F. and Martha Virginia Carter Vaughan. He was an Eagle Scout, a Navy Veteran and faithful member of La Grange Heights Baptist Church. He was a pilot who began flying at the age of sixteen. In 1977 he and his loving wife, Susan, moved to Lynchburg, Virginia and became involved in the ministries of Thomas Road Baptist Church and Liberty University, where he flew on mission trips. He was also the personal pilot for Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr. Later, he captained several more types of private jets for various companies.

Tim is survived by his loving son, T. Rudy Vaughan and wife Shelly; grandchildren, Sabrina and Josiah Vaughan; and brother, Larry Vaughan and is wife Bonnie; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:30 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at La Grange Heights Baptist Church (1100 Woodcreek Drive, La Grange, KY 40031) with burial to follow at Bedford City Cemetery.
