Timothy R. Phillips, 37, of Louisville, KY passed away September 21, 2013 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Friedreich's Ataxia.
Timothy Phillips was born July 21, 1976 to James and Mary "Kay" Phillips in Louisville. He loved rock n roll music, even being a singer in his own garage band. Timothy loved scary movies and Halloween was his favorite holiday. He loved both his "moms" dearly - his mother Kay and his Aunt Tammy. He loved his grandma and her banana pudding. Timothy loved his dogs: Toby, Mickey, and Malory. He was close with his brother Robbie and enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Little cousin Chase even said a prayer for him at the end.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father James Phillips, grandfather James Buck, and several other relatives.
Timothy leaves behind his mother Mary "Kay" (Joe Hatfield) Phillips; his brother Robbie (Kelly) Baker; his grandmother Frances Buck; one nephew and two nieces; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host other family and close friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of Timothy's life will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11:00am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grayson County, KY.
