Tia Cleavetta Burton entered this world this world on August 16, 1966 to the late Iona Mae Burton. She was the baby of five siblings.
Tia received her formal education from Cane Run Elementary and went on to receive her high school diploma from Fairdale High School in 1984.
In her early years, Tia enjoyed tap dancing and being a cheerleader; which she also persued at the high school level. While in high school, Tia also participated on the track team, where she was "tickled" to be running for the same school and cheering for her brothers.
Tia was a member of "N" Street Baptist Church, where she professed her hope in Christ at an early age.
Tia had a "deep-rooted" love for her family and children. She cherished the family gatherings and picnics and loved to dance.
She leaves to cherish her two daughters, LaTia Vaughn, Shadora Burton; three granddaughters, NiKyiah Vaughn, La'Maya Vaughn, and NiKayla Vaughn; five brothers; Darryl Burton (deceased), Tony Burton, Quinn Burton, Caralus Burton, and DaWayne Burton; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A Celebration of her Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel.
