Thomas "Tom" Barksdale Johnson, III, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023.
Tom was a loving husband, father, and granddada. He was born on August 17, 1941 in Durham, North Carolina, and he bled Carolina Blue. Tom was a Christian and a long time member of Southeast Christian Church. He brought levity and humor to his relationships. He was member of Midland Trail and is currently playing the back 9 in heaven. Tom will be loved and missed by his friends and family.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Barksdale Johnson, Jr. and Pauline Frances Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Jay Johnson; children, Frances "Lorri" Lorraine Dudley (John C.); Thomas "Tom" Barksdale Johnson, IV (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Chris, Jimmy and Matty Dudley and Sullivan Johnson; and siblings, Linda Allen and Debbie Franklin.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Southeast Christian Church's Chapel in the Woods (1407 Moser Road) from 10 to 11 A.M. A funeral service will follow that morning at 11 A.M. at the chapel with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus of Louisville (6200 Dutchman Lane) or do an act of kindness for someone and think of Tom and smile.
