Thomas Jackson Phillips

Thomas Jackson "Jack" Phillips, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Jack was a loving husband, dad, pappaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He always had quick wit and a great sense of humor. You might often find him fishing, playing his instruments, working in the shop, walking, riding his bike, eating sweets, playing board games and cards. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help family and those in need. He retired from Inland Container Company after 41 years.

He was born on April 9, 1935 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Andrew and Lucille (Baker) Phillips. He is preceded in death by his Father, Andrew Jackson Phillips and Mother, Lucille Phillips; Son-In-law, Rusty Dunn; Siblings, Juanita Craven, Barbara Swallows, Fred Phillips, and Novetta Baugh.

Jack is survived by his loving Wife of 64 years, Loretta Mae Phillips; Children, Lorna (Chris) Higdon, Eric (Kim) Phillips, and Jackie Dunn; Grandchildren, Chris (Mandy), Glenn, Kelli (Aaron), Jessica (Tommy), Beth, Holly, and Emmy (Eli); Great-Grandchildren, Katie, Maggie, Lily, Jackson, AJ, Kori, Rylee, Reese, Russ, Raelyn, Bella, and Harley, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
