Thomas J. Geraty, Jr.

Thomas J. "Tom" Geraty, Jr., passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011. He was an avid gardener and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Tom was born on May 30, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Thomas J. and Amelia (Dittmar) Geraty, Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Palladino and her husband, Gerard, of West Islip, New York; sister, Dorothea Zotta of Farmingville, New York; grandchildren, Nicole Palladino and Matthew Palladino (Kerry Corrie); great-grandchild, Dylan Palladino; and companion, Betty Rudd.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral will be at 9 AM on Tuesday, April 5 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Rose Cemetery in Springfield, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (c/o 38 Roderick Road, W. Islip, NY 11795).
