Thomas Ewing

Thomas George Ewing, age 61 passed away Saturday June 11, 2011 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and graduated from Scotch Plains/Fanwood HS. He also studied audio engineering and was an avid writer throught his life. Tom was a lettercarrier and shop steward for the US Post Office in Fanwood, NJ for over 25 years. Ten years ago he moved to Louisville to be closer to family. He was employed by Me 2 LLC as a bus driver transporting medically fragile children to The Kidz Club. Tom always had a guitar or harmonica on hand and loved to play music with his friends and at local coffee houses. He was the son of the late David and Audrey Pettersen Ewing of Louisville and Fanwood, NJ.

Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julie, son Tyler, sisters Jacquie Johnson of Louisville Rachel Tate and brother-in-law Wayne Tate of Fayetteville, NC and loving nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:30 to 4 PM followed by a Memorial Celebration at 4 PM on Sunday June 26th at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky.
