Thomas Edward Hereford, Iv

Mr. Thomas Edward Hereford, IV of Louisville, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 with his loving family by his side. He was an Army Veteran, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He spent his career in medical technology. He was a recipient of a dual lung transplant stemming from the 1997 Paducah School tragedy and was eternally grateful to Nicole Hadley every time he took a breath. He was a member and active in the Alpha One support group and participated in the Transplant Games four separate times. His Grandmother, Lily Mae Broadway preceded him in death May of 2009.

Mr. Hereford is survived by his daughter, Kathy Hereford Ritchie (Eric); his son, Thomas Edward Hereford V; his parents, Thomas and Carolyn Hereford; brothers, Paul Gordon Hereford (Terri), David Alexander Hereford (Gwen) and Mark Stephen Hereford (Deborah). He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren.

Funeral Ceremony will be held 11am Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with interment in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Ky. Visitation will be at the funeral home 4-8pm Tuesday and after 9am Wednesday until time of the service.
