Thomas Butler

Thomas P. "T.P." Butler, 61, of New Albany passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. T.P. proudly served our country as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years.

T.P. was born on April 18, 1950 in Danville, Virginia to Bertha Mae (Jones) Butler and the late Eugene A. Butler.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janice M. (Bowe) Butler; daughter, Ashley R. Fessel (Lanny); son, Rhett J. Butler (Kistrin); sister, Rhoda Cole; brother, Stanley Butler (Debbie); and niece, Amy Goforth (Rod).

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 3 PM on Saturday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.
