Theta May Pipes

Mrs. Theta Pipes, age 89 passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was retired from Sears, a member of the Beechmont and Arcade Senior Citizens Clubs and the Portland Avenue Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by Edward L. Herdt, Sr., her son Edward L. Herdt, Jr. and the love of her life, Chester Pipes.

Mrs. Pipes is survived by her daughters, Sue Ann Browning (L.W.) and Jo Ann Weinberger (Larry); her son, John Herdt (Barbara); five Grandchildren and eight Great-grandchildren.

The funeral ceremony to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pipes will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 from the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Middletown, with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West at 1:00 p.m. Monday. Visitation will be noon - 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
