Theresa Elaine Coleman-Gibbs

Theresa Elaine Coleman-Gibbs, "Peddy" of Louisville, KY was born on March 7, 1964, to Esther E. Dobbins and Robert Clay. Theresa transitioned from this life at her home on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Peddy obtained her GED and graduated from the National College of Business with a Bachelor's degree. Theresa retired from years of service as a Correctional Officer at Roederer Correctional Complex. In recent years she worked with children as a Childcare provider at Candy Land and Little Genius Academy. (She loved her babies.) Music, traveling and loving on her family were what she loved the most. You could often find Theresa singing around the house. Theresa dedicated her life to Christ under the direction of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Theresa was baptized on November 8th, 2015.
Theresa is preceded in death by her mothers Theresa V. Bowen and Esther E. Bellard, her sister Dorothy Spencer, and her brother Kevin Young.
Mrs. Coleman-Gibbs leaves a legacy of 2 children, son Anthony B. Ward (Shanika) and daughter Daryliesha J. Ward (Ramont). She also leaves behind two granddaughters and three grandsons, three sisters, 2 brothers, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 2pm-4pm with a celebration of Theresa's life beginning at 4pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
