Thelma R.(Langston) Anderson

Thelma R. (Langston) Anderson, 85, passed away on July 12, 2013. She was a resident at Wedgewood Healthcare Center, loved to play Bunco and read magazines. Thelma also enjoyed tending to her flowers, shopping, and spending time with her family that she loved dearly.
Thelma was born on February 9, 1928 in New Albany to the late Ollie and Violet (Austin) Langston. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Salmon.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James W. Anderson, Sr.; children, Eddie Brumback (Kathy), Glenda Manning, Jimmy Anderson, Jr. (Sherrie), Bobby Anderson (Jackie), Janet Webb, Sally Spray (Doug); 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Thelma's wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. Burial will take place at a later date in New Albany National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
