Thelma Gertrude Black
August 14, 1926 — November 7, 2014
Thelma G. Black, age 88 of Louisville, passed away at Signature of Glenview on Friday, November 7th, surrounded by her family. Thelma was preceded in death by her son, Larry; and her parents, Elmer and Josephine Schweinhart; and several brothers and sisters.
Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Charlie; her son, Rick (Peggy); granddaughters, Ashleigh Willinger (Corey) and Lindsey; and several brothers.
Mass of celebration will be 11am Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8pm Monday, November 10th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive.
The family would like to thank Hosparus of Louisville, especially her nurse Sam and the caregivers at Signature of Glenview, especially her nurse Jackie, Chaplain Scott for the wonderful care they provided.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crusade for Children, Alzheimer's Association or Hosparus of Louisville.
