Thelma Jean (Kendall) Ford, 93, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
She was born on March 8, 1929, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Catherine (Williams) Kendall. She is also preceded in death by her son, Stuart Ford, and sister, Vivian Samarripa.
Thelma's passions and hobbies included teaching Bible studies and playing piano and games.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Bonny Carrico and Valerie O'Rear (Brian), sister, Doris Grammer, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at Westport Road Baptist Church (9705 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40241) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East (11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, KY 40241).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Westport Road Baptist Church Missions.
