Terry Lee Darnell, 75, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
He was born on February 29, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Presley and Dorothy (Doyle) Darnell. Terry retired from GE where he worked for 33 years. He coached high school football for several years at Bullitt East High School. In his spare time he enjoyed fixing up old cars. Terry loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Presley Carl Darnell; mother, Dorothy Marie Darnell; sister, Vickie Sue Darnell; and brother, Jerry Carl Darnell.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Louise Darnell; sons, Jason Darnell (Dawn), Travis Darnell, and Jonathan Darnell; grandchildren, Deven Darnell, Jayla Darnell, Keegan Kane, and Karter Kane; brother, Larry Darnell; sisters, Debbie Hardin (Zach), Bebbie Shade (Tony), and Linda Brown (Chris); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per Terry's wishes cremation was chosen and services will be private.
The family requests that contributions in Terry's memory be made to the Bullitt East High School Football Team, ATTN: Troy Barr, 11450 Highway 44 East, Mt. Washington, KY 40047.
