Terri Irene Rumpf, née Greening, 68, of New Albany, Indiana, peacefully passed away on January 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 14, 1955, in Elkhart, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret Greening.
She is survived by her two sisters, Joan Greening, Gay Lynn (David) McKay, and nephew Eric Trotter, all from Elkhart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband Harry. She worked in the World Trade Center, New York City, and happened to stay home on September 11, 2001, only to lose dozens of coworkers and friends on that fateful day.
Terri's life journey included graduating from Elkhart high school and Ball State university with a degree in accounting. Her professional career highlights include teaching mathematics, traveling auditor, payroll manager, and vendor relations specialist at Hilliard Lyons in Louisville, Kentucky.
She is remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for her diverse experiences living in Indiana, Colorado, Texas, New Jersey, and Australia.
A woman of many passions, Terri enjoyed camping, skiing, hiking, dining, and even served as a volunteer firefighter, driving the truck. Her unwavering Catholic faith and enduring political enthusiasm defined her character.
