Tamara Lynn Head

Tamara Lynn "Tammy" Head, 47, passed away on January 7, 2014. She was a loving mother and loved watching her children play sports. She always made everyone around her laugh and was a joy to be around. She loved church picnics and giving to Make A Wish Foundation, United Way and March of Dimes. She enjoyed going to Riverbend listening to classic rock concerts, going to Churchill Downs and going to the Garvin Gate Blues Festival. You could always count on Tammy to be up dancing and being the life of the party.

She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick Simon; niece, Misty Simon and her best friend, Joyce Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, David Head, children, Spencer George, Bryce George, Angela Head and David Head, Jr.; mother, Beverly (Steve) Montgomery; sisters, Sandra (Everett) Vazzana, Heather (James) Montgomery, Shannon (Jeremy) Marowelli, Rick (Pam) Simon and Linda Simon; nieces, Rachel, Jocelyn and Brittney and nephews, Brad, Luke, Aden and Oliver.

Visitation will be Friday, January 10th, from 3pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11th at Newcomer Funeral Home beginning at 11:30 am.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY 40272.
