Sylvia Pearl (Mann) Willett

September 19, 1930 — November 23, 2016

This request Is for a prayer to a beautiful soul - Sylvia Willett. She made the transition yesterday morning.

Sylvia had heart disease and had two stints put in, one in 2004 and another in 2009. In the last few months she was experiencing chronic angina that was getting worst. I was with her when she passed, she said, "she wanted to stay in her home, and die in her bed", She received her wish. She always said, the hardest thing was to let go and stop breathing. Just a few days before, she had a dream that explained how she should do this. She wanted to go quickly and she did. Spirit was there with help and welcome.

I am her daughter, Debra Berggren. My sadness is overwhelming. However, she was not that body, that body was not her. She is spirit and pure energy. That energy does not die, it lives and is home again.

The last week, we had fun, she was so happy. She enjoyed her backyard, feeding and watching the birds, the squirrels always a source of entertainment. Sitting in the porch with a cup of coffee. We called it, coffee talk. We had a constant visiting hawk, that scattered the birds and other possible meals.

Sylvia was 86 in September, for her birthday, we went on the Kentucky Diner train in October, at Bardstown Ky, she was thrilled. She wanted to go on a train ride.

Monday we took a ride to look at the last leaves on the trees, it was a beautiful sunny chilly day. Though Autumn was in its finals days it was a spectacular day. We ended up at Huber' s restaurant unexpectedly and had a delicious lunch, she enjoyed it so much and had a wonderful day, which she kept reminiscing about. Tuesday she had her nails done, which I know would please her no end, always loved to get her nails done, no one else had her color, so pretty. That night, we shared a special holiday cherry wine, we saluted each other and all that was in our lives, the cat, tigger 2, the house, our unseen friends and all our blessings.

Wednesday November 23, She decided the time was right and joined those family and friends waiting to greet her. She was probably overrun with all the animals waiting for her over the rainbow bridge. Oh how pleased she would be.

She was a teacher to children, kindergarten, to adults, metaphysical philosophy, she was a Spiritualist Minister, helping those get married and those making the transition. She was tender to those in need children and animals. As a claivouant, she counseled those that wished to understand things beyond the five senses and help find solutions in their lives. Always reminding them, they have free will, listen to the still small voice within, the answer is there. She taught hatha Yoga before it was popular, some of her students with her over
30 years. The Light Center, was an out growth of her yoga and teaching metaphysical philosophy. She was so proud of all those who came through the doors, they were seekers with a desire to understand themselves and the world around them better.

She was a survivor, she survived the blitz of London during the war. She survived after being buried 24 hours in a bombed building and three more near misses. She came to America in 1955, married her fiancee, divorced and remarried divorced again but made her life here. We traveled to England in 2008 and visited her mums cottage and visited old and new places, we had a ball.

She had an extraordinary life and touched so many. She was my teacher, mentor, spiritual guide here on earth. She loved telling the story of legally adopting me late in life, she loved seeing the look on the judges face, "you're adopting who?", She loved a good story. Sylvia was my mother, a confidant, a travel companion, a laugh until you cry pee in your pants mate, one of the kindness persons I knew. But mostly, she was my dear dear friend and best friend. I will miss your smile, laugh, hugs, and your physical presence. I love you bunches Sylvia, you did well grasshopper, you are home.

If you would please, do three OM' s for Sylvia, she will hear you. And end with OM Shanti - Peace.

With gratitude and thanks and hugs and love.

There will be no funeral service, per Sylvia's request, she wanted a gathering at a later time so all could celebrate

Debra Berggren
OM Shanti - Peace
