Susan Winburn

Susan Renee (Missi) Winburn, 36, a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, of Borden, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. Susie loved the beach, going camping, and building bonfires. A kind, compassionate, and very caring person, Susie adored her son, nieces, and nephews; family was her first priority.

Susie was born on November 25, 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Winburn; son, Briant "BB" Winburn; parents, Marianne (Traughber) Gatlin (Danny), Rick Missi, Sr. (Glenda); siblings, Rick Missi, Jr. (Patty), Amanda Stenberg (Kevin), Teresa Cummings (Bradley); step-siblings, Stephen Gatlin (Laura), Aaron Gatlin, Dana Benitende (Charles), Robin Gettelfinger (Matt), Tatum Combs (Cullen); grandparents, Bonnie Traughber, Lucille Missi; parents-in-law, Tom and Betty Winburn; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Stuart Winburn (Karen), June Jones (Greg), Pat Durbin (Jeanie), Vickie Ledford (Steve), Lisa Cravens ("H"); and 36 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Missi; stepbrother, Danny Joe Gatlin; brother-in-law, Fred Bartel; grandfathers, Joseph Traughber and Donald Missi, Sr.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 19 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 9 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center for cancer research (529 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202) or St. Elizabeth's Catholic Charities (601 East Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
