Susan Marie Rodgers

Susan Rodgers, 59, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

She was born on November 26, 1964 in Louisville, Kentucky to Gordon and Bettie (Hensley) Blakeman. Susan is preceded in death by her Father, Gordon Blakeman, and Brother, Michael Blakeman.

She is survived by her loving Family, Mother, Bettie Osbaum, Brother, Charles (Susan) Blakeman, Niece, Angela (Denny Frank) Blakeman, Great-Niece, Zoey Frank, Nephew, Gregory Blakeman, Niece, Mikyla Gallas, Best Friend/Sister, Pam Graser and fur baby, Dory Sparkles.

Susan was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She graduated from Iroquois High School in Louisville, KY, 1982. Susan was a music enthusiast, she loved listening to Joe Walsh, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, and many other musicians. She was a poet, and enjoyed expressing her love for others through her writing. Susan was an animal lover and always made sure to spoil her fur babies. She will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched along her journey.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 19th, at Newcomer Funeral Home Juneau, 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville KY, 40218. Her Funeral Service will be at 7:00pm the same day, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan's memory be made to American Diabetes Association.
