Susan Annette Powers

Susan Annette Powers, 50, gained her angel wings on December 8, 2023. The apple of her eye was her daughter, Stephanie Hope, who she enjoyed spending all her time with. Susan loved going to the lake, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite time of the day was 420; to know Susan was to love her. Susan had an incredible ability to love and care for others; she poured her loved into everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Duncan; sister, Charlotte Clark; grandmother, Lena Clark and her niece, Alaysia Lynn Campbell.

Susan leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Stephanie Hope Gibson; mother, Ramona Clark; step-father, Gerald Paragon; siblings, Christy Clark (Ryan Williams) and Eddie Clark; nieces and nephews, Caliey Williams, La'Niya Williams, RJ Williams, Paisley Clark, Saniya Williams and Dayontez Williams; her love, Danny Smallwood; bonus daughter, Hannah (Hector) Marrero; bonus grandchildren, Atlas Marrero and Cairo Marrero and numerous aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm. A celebration of Susan's life will be Friday, December 22, 2023, beginning at 11am at the funeral home.

Susan will be laid to rest at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, Glen Dean, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with Susan's funeral expenses.
