Susan Jean Mattingly

Susan Jean Mattingly died on October 2, 2024. She was 76 years old. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to George Raphael Mattingly and Mary Laura Mattingly, she graduated from Spalding University School of Nursing and obtained her Masters degree from the University of Louisville School of Education. Susan was Allied Health Director and Vice President at Watterson College for 15 years. She then was Executive Director of Kentucky Healthcare Training Institute for 26 years until she retired. 

Susan is survived by her beloved sons Bryan and Jason Messenger and her cherished grandchildren Cameron and Carter Messenger. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Mattingly of Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). Friends are invited to visit with the family during this time.
