Susan Sigler Dobson, 69, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Monday, December 27, 2021 after a courageous 2 year battle with Cancer.
She was born in Evansville, IN on March 22, 1952 to Billie and Arthur Sigler.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jerry Dobson; her sons, Glenn Martin (Jodi) and Chris Martin (Allison); daughters, Angela Muddell (Tom), Allison Patell (Daraius) and Katelyn McBroom (Jake); grandchildren, Aliza, Shea, Zowi, Caleb and Sebastian Martin, Brant and Reece Muddell, Zach and Mia Patell and River McBroom; sister, Kathy (Donnie) McCraw, numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Dory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Kay Coleman; and her brother, David Sigler of Princeton, KY.
She was previously employed as an Assistant Manager at Sam's Club for 26 years and was a caregiver for Mrs. Henrida Holloway for many years.
She loved cooking big meals for her family and her chicken salad, deviled eggs, green beans and stuffed mushrooms were family favorites. She was known for her kind heart and thoughtfulness to friends, family and strangers alike.
In her most cherished role as Granny Susan, Memaw and Gi, she enjoyed spoiling her grandbabies and they were the joys of her life. She looked forward to visits with her sister, Kathy, and brother-in-law, Donnie at their home on Lake Barkley. And, was like a "second Mother" to her nieces and nephews.
In addition to spending time with her family, her pastimes included attending music concerts with her husband, Jerry, and helping him with his woodworking business at numerous art shows every year.
Visitation will be Monday, January 3 from 4 PM - 8 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 4 from 10 AM - 11 AM at Duncan Memorial Chapel, 5600 Old Floydsburg Rd., Crestwood, KY. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00. Burial will be in Floydsburg Cemetery immediately following the service.
