Susan Daugherty

Susan Daugherty, 75, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Susan was a 1966 graduate of Providence High School. She worked for over 30 years at Indiana Bell. Susan loved playing Bunco and Bingo, watching old westerns and the Cincinnati Reds, baking cakes and being with her family. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

She was born on April 17, 1948 in New Albany, Indiana to the late John Daugherty Jr. and Dorothy Gehring Daugherty. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Daugherty.

Susan is survived by her siblings, Theresa (Donald) Wolfe, John (Sandy) Daugherty, and Jane (Paul) Buttrum; sister-in-law, Caroll Daugherty; nephews, Adam Wolfe, Alex (Brittney) Daugherty, and Austin Daugherty; niece, Ashley (Dishmond) Fields; and great-nephews, Jace, Braxton, Roger, and Charlie.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
