Stuart "Wayne" Thompson , 75, of Brooks, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
He was born on March 30, 1947 in Alton, Kentucky to Albert and Alice Ruth (Langston) Thompson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ann Blevins.
Wayne was a 1965 graduate of Valley High School and then he went on to proudly serve our country while enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (1966-1972) and was a Retired Union Electrician with the Local 369. He was a proud active member of the Local 369 Rod & Gun Club and an avid outdoorsman. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and his many pets over the years. He accomplished many things during his life time but none more important than the legacy he is leaving with his family to carry on.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Teressa F. Thompson, daughter, Melanie "Honey" Thompson, son, Travis Wayne (Linda) Thompson, granddaughters, Lillian "Lillie" Thompson,Cheyenne Garrison and Haily Fryman, sisters, Patti Watts and Cindi (Mike) Fowler, brother, Mark (Robin) Thompson, many nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service celebrating his life will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, at the funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions in Wayne's memory be made to the KY Fish & Wildlife Foundation
