Stuart G. Luginbuhl, Jr.

April 23, 1952 — January 5, 2025

Louisville, KY

Stuart G Luginbuhl Jr, 72, was born April 23, 1952 and went home to the Lord January 5, 2025. Stu was devoted to his Faith and his family. He was a witness to everyone he met about the joy of knowing the Lord, his assurance in his salvation, and the great blessing of God's faithfulness during his life and especially his illness. He had no fear in the Glory of going home to the Lord.

Stu was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1970. He played college football and baseball on scholarships at Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY where he majored in accounting. He retired from Toyota Financial Services in 2016.

Stu was a loving and devoted husband, father, Papa, brother and friend. He especially loved spoiling his three grandchildren. He was a gifted vocalist and performed in high school, college, the church choir, and a men's trio at First Christian Assembly of God in Cincinnati. He is presently a member of Southeast Christian Chapel in the Woods, here in Louisville.

Stu moved to Louisville in 2014 when he married Pam. They treasured their travels, their winters in Florida and the many joys of having a blended family. Stu enjoyed a good round of golf with the guys, and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals all of his life.

Stu is the son of the late Stuart George Luginbuhl Sr. and Mary Ethel Havelin Luginbuhl. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Clinard Luginbuhl, his daughters Amber Luginbuhl and Sarah Craig (Carson), his stepchildren, Nikki McClelland (John), and Carson Lilly(Lindsey), and his precious grandchildren, Lilly, Emery, and Samuel. He also leaves a sister, Nancy Mikulas (Emil).

Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, we rejoice in the knowledge that he is in the presence of Our Lord and Savior. We would like to Thank the staff at Norton Cancer Institute for their exceptional care especially Dr. Nelson, his oncologist, and his PA, Kayla, and Shelby his nurse. We also wish to express gratitude to Hosparus of Louisville for their compassionate commitment to assist in end of life care.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Southeast Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Rd. Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with the service beginning at 11:00. The burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to Southeast Christian Church, Norton Cancer Institute, Hosparus of Louisville, or St Jude Children's Hospital.
