Steven Overton, 51, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on Friday, May 5, 2023.
He was born on August 1, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas to Marie (Castiglione) Harper. Preceded in death by his fathers, Don Overton, Stephen Harper and brother, Timothy James "TJ" Harper.
Steve was a veteran of the United States Navy. For the past twenty plus years, he was the proud owner & operator of Over-A-Ton, where he provided lawn and home services. Among other things, Steve appreciated motorcycles, baseball, and the guitar.
As selfless as they come, he never hesitated to help people and was quick to put the needs of others before his own. For those that knew him, Steve made lasting impressions with a work ethic that was second to none, but perhaps most of all, his toughness and endurance.
For Steve, the past six years were anything but easy. Somehow, someway, he found the courage to live every day without complaint or self-pity. "It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." -Rocky Balboa.
Words he lived by.
His presence will be greatly missed but his inspiration lives on.
Steven is survived by his loving mother, Marie Harper, brother, Donny Overton, sister, Marissa Harper Mowery, grandparents, Joe and Irma Castiglione, five nieces and nephews, Ryann Overton, Tyus Overton, Makai Overton, Jamison Mowery, Reesie HM Mowery, uncle, Robert Castiglione, aunts, Candy Orr Austin, Sondra Moses, stepmother, Vikki Overton, and wife, Amy Overton.
