Steven Grant Lawrence, Sr.

Steven Grant Lawrence, Sr., 73, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Steven enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, gardening, Westerns, antiques, and traveling, and was a NASCAR fan. He was a proud member of the VFW Post #1832 and was proud to be of the Christian faith.

He was born on June 11, 1950, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to William and Wilma (Richey) Lawrence. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Barry Lawrence; father-in-law, Thomas J. Leezer, Sr.; and mother-in-law, JoAnn Leezer.

Steven is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Lawrence; daughter, Kimberly (Richard) Speth; son, Steven Grant (Windi) Lawrence, Jr.; grandchildren, Shawnna Speth and Brody Grant Lawrence; great-grandchild, Raylan Speth; and brother, Terry Lawrence.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, and Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Home.

The family requests that contributions in Steven's memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
