Steven E. "Steve" Barnes, 49, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012. He was an avid Nascar fan and friend to many.
Steve was born on June 16, 1964 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Norman E. Jeanie M. (Hall) Barnes. He was also preceded in death his grandparents Luther and Estell Barnes, Leslie and Mabel Hall.
He is survived by his sister, Susan Bierly; nieces, Sarah Bierly, Laura Kuste (Brian); aunts, Wilma Atchley (Horace), Martha Bratton (Ronald), Linda Wood, Dorothy Larson; and many cousins.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Burial will take place at a later date in Borden Ridge Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Susan Bierly in care of the funeral home.
