Steve Kelley Wolfe, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
He was born on January 13, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frank and Ottie "Boots" (Kelley) Wolfe.
Steve graduated from the University of Louisville and received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1978, where he developed his obnoxious love for his beloved U of L Cardinals. Steve had a passion for the fire department and served as a firefighter and educator for 32 years. He retired from Buechel Fire Department in 2011.
Steve is survived by his loving daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Goff, Chase Anne Wolfe-Lauder, son-in-laws, Aaron Goff, James Aaron Lauder, grandchildren, John "Frankie" Goff, Theodore Lauder, and Hazel Lauder, brother Joe Wolfe and sisters Patricia Laemmle (Jim) and Sheila Reiss (Don). He is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life to Honor Steve Wolfe's life from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at St. Matthew's Fire Department (240 Sears Avenue St. Matthews, KY 40207).
Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am on Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Raphael Catholic Church (2141 Lancashire Avenue Louisville, KY 40205) with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Steve's memory be made to WHAS Crusade for Children's www.whascrusade.org.
