Stephen George Wolf

Stephen George Wolf, 77, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Born on August 16, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Otmar and Dorothy (Shanks) Wolf. Steve's life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his country, proudly serving in both the United States Air Force and Navy. His commitment to service exemplified his character, reflecting a life of honor and integrity.

A faithful member of Scottsville Christian Church, Steve found great joy in discussing the teachings of the Bible, drawing inspiration and strength from his faith. His musical talent shone through as a gifted guitarist, and he enjoyed crafting with his hands, particularly with leather, a medium that expressed his creativity and skill.

Above all, Steve treasured the time spent with his family and friends. He created lasting memories with those he loved, and his warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Rosemary (Wimsatt) Wolf; daughter, Tanya Wolf; grandson, Alex Moran; and his brother, David Wolf.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will resume on Friday morning after 9:30 a.m. at Scottsville Christian Church (7857 Scottsville Road, Floyds Knobs) where a funeral service with military honors will commence at 11:00 a.m.
