Stephen Thomas Scott, Sr., 71, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Steve was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 42 and VFW Post 3281 in New Albany. Along with his memberships, Steve enjoyed guns and riding motorcycles.
He was born on January 5, 1952, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Elmer and Betty (Tindle) Scott.
Steve is survived by his children, Angelique Scott, Rebecca (Vincent) Collini, Stephen (Angela) Scott, Jr., and Karisa (Angus) Coleman; siblings, Kathleen Scott, Phil Scott, Terry (Nick) Seng, Paula Stearman, Ronnie Scott, Rhonda (Bill) Scott, and Greg Scott; grandchildren, Johnthan (Sarah) Jackson, Kayla Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Eden Scott, Daphne Scott, and Caleb Coleman; and great-grandchildren, Penny Grace, Finnley, and Remmington.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). He will be laid to rest at New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.
