Stephen Mehler

Stephen Ray Mehler, 32, passed away on September 19, 2014. "Big Hungry" loved subway Sundays with his uncle Darrell. He was family oriented and found the love of God. Stephen loved to listen to music on his MP3 player, talking on the phone, complementing all the ladies in his life and was full of life and a fighter to the very end.

He is preceded in death by his, grandfathers, Norman Ray House and William Mehler; great-grandparents, Louis and Louise House and aunt, Charlene Mehler.

He is survived by his mother, Debbie (Johnnie) Compton; father, Jerry Mehler; sister, Katrina (Tim) Johnson; niece, Savannha Johnson; nephew, Jesse Johnson; grandmother, Katie (Henry) Weber; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special aunt, Sissy (Danny) Thomas and uncle, Darrell (Candy) House; step-brothers, James (Kelly) Compton, John (Georgie) Burnett, Jr., William Burnette and step-sister, Dora (Bernado) Boada.

Visitation for Stephen will be Monday, September 22, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 12pm-6pm with services beinning at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the family.
