Stephen Todd Mccartin

Stephen Todd McCartin, 54, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was also a big fan of NASCAR.

He was born on August 14, 1962, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Patsy (Cron) McCartin and the late Robert McCartin. Steve was also preceded in death by his siblings, Pam Harris, and Gary, Jeffrey, and Richard McCartin.

Along with his mother, Steve is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Teena (Begley) McCartin; children, Stevie McCartin, Tiffany Maddox, and LaWanda Thomas (Phillip); stepchildren, Philip Siener (Heather), Tommy Siener, and Michele Finn (Jeremy); brother, Timothy McCartin; brother-in-law, Steve Harris; 8 grandchildren; and Nell Quire, great-aunt.

A reception of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Memorial Service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Steve will be laid to rest privately at Charlestown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Steve's memory be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (1941 Bishop Lane, Suite 108, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).
